Jen Swim (she/they) is a working artist from Indianapolis, Indiana. They create large-scale ceramic vessels and handmade jewelry, as well as video and performance art, often related to her experience in their body. In Jen's work she often deals with the body as a radical site for making meaning, and find themself returning to the mantra of body as self. Some recurring themes are repetition, tracks, the role of queerness, cycles of the body, and growth. Jen works at a non-profit that provides meaningful day programming for adults with developmental disabilities, and is lucky to get to learn about play every day. Jen also enjoys telling stories, camping, snuggles with her pitbull Hugh, vegetables, and horror films. |
